Fire Department Hosts Holiday Toy Drive

With Thanksgiving upon us, the holiday season has officially begun. During this time of year, it’s always important to embrace the holiday spirit by giving to those less fortunate, and the Sandy Springs Fire Department has created a way for you to help make this Christmas more spectacular for local children.

From now until December 7, 2010, Sandy Springs fire stations are accepting unwrapped toys to be given out during the North Perimeter Optimist Club‘s Children’s Christmas Party. The four participating fire stations include:

  • Sandy Springs Fire Station #1, 1425 Spalding Drive
  • Sandy Springs Fire Station #2, 135 Johnson Ferry Road
  • Sandy Springs Fire Station #3, 6025 Heards Road
  • Sandy Springs Fire Station #4, 4697 Wieuca Road

Toys suitable for both boys and girls ages 3 to 12 years old will be welcomed, however there is a particular need for toys for girls ages 7 to 12.
