Mount Vernon Woods is an active swim/tennis neighborhood in Sandy Springs. The neighborhood is bounded by Abernathy Road to the north, Mt. Vernon Highway to the south, Roswell Road to the west, and Glenridge Drive to the east. Key neighborhood streets include Vernon Woods Drive, Cherry Tree Lane, and Williamson Drive.

Mount Vernon Woods consists of 239 homes, most of which were built in the 1950′s. We have seen recent new construction in the neighborhood due to the great location and the amenities the neighborhood has to offer.

In 1996, Mount Vernon Woods Community enacted a “permanent” homeowners association. Members pay dues (of $300 per year) to maintain common areas, support neighborhood swim tennis facilities, and provide for the long term stability of the neighborhood.
