The Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday is right around the corner, and while City Hall will be closed for the holiday, the city of Sandy Springs wants to invite everyone to join them on Monday, January 17th at 10:00 am for a celebration. The 2011 event is the 6th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration for the city. In addition to remembering and honoring Dr. King and his legacy, Mayor Eva Galambos will present the 2011 Humanitarian Award to a highly deserving Sandy Springs resident.
This is the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to Dr. King as well as get involved with the local community. In addition to the festivities and networking, light refreshments will be served to attendees. The Celebration will take place at City Hall, City Council Chambers (7840 Roswell Road, Building 500). See you there!
