This Saturday, September 24, 2011, the Sandy Springs Conservancy and Georgia Power will join forces to host the 9th annual River Clean Up at Morgan Falls. So make plans to participate and help keep our Chattahoochee River clean and beautiful.
This is an event fun for the entire family, and you are encouraged to bring a canoe or kayak if you have one. A limited number of boats will be available at the site for you to rent. All registered participants can enjoy a free cookout at the Overlook Park Pavilion. In addition to lunch, you’ll get the opportunity to tour the 100-year-old hydroelectric plant.
To register, visit www.sandyspringsconservancy.org or you can register on Saturday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Georgia Power Hydroelectric Plant, 380 Morgan Falls Rd., Sandy Springs, 30350. Held rain or shine. For more information, email: [email protected]
