The Abernathy Greenway Park officially opens on Thursday July 17, 2014 with a public celebration at 10:00 a.m. The new Sandy Springs park, located on Abernathy Road between Wright and Brandon Mill Roads, includes a plaza, patio, gardens, lighted trails, playgrounds and the Playable Art Park designed to delight visitors of all ages and provide recreation options that will appeal to either the casual stroller or an active toddler!
WHAT: Mayor Rusty Paul along with other local dignitaries will cut the ribbon and dedicate the City of Sandy Springs newest park
WHEN: Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Abernathy Greenway Park on Abernathy Road between Wright and Brandon Mill Roads.
Those in the surrounding neighborhoods are encouraged to walk to the Park. For those traveling via car, complimentary parking will be available at the Sandy Springs City Green located at Johnson Ferry Road and Sandy Springs Circle with complimentary shuttle service from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
